Prada's new image in the 80s
In 1983, Prada opened a new store in Via della Spiga in Milan. This store represented the new image of the brand, combining traditional elements with a modern architectural
setting, and introduced the pale-green colour, which went on to become Prada’s stores’ symbol around the world. In 1986 Prada opened stores in New York and Madrid, followed
a few years later by London, Paris and Tokyo. In 1989 Prada ran its first women’s collection in Milan in its Headquarters, at the time a liberty villa situated via Melzi d’Eril.
